Engagement
There is a strong indication from the video and feedback that a scheme without ASC's has already been decided. What's the point of giving our feedback you might ask? Well, we have a window of opportunity and we need to demonstrate an overwhelming support for this option while funding is in place. Let's use every opportunity
Attend the engagement event at Compton Village Hall on
Monday 3rd February 4.00 pm-8.00 pm
Wednesday 5th February 11.00 am-3.00 pm
To view the scheme and ask questions
ATTEND A VILLAGE-RUN MEETING TO DISCUSS THE PROPOSALS
12th February at 7.30 pm (bar opens at 6.30) at The Compton Club
You will want to consider how the proposals affect you, please also consider how they affect people living in other parts of the village
Consider asking for examples of comparable schemes, how effective they are and how acceptable they are to residents
The budget is £400k. Asking for a financial breakdown to accompany aspects of the scheme would allow you to see how cost-effective it is.
Traffic modelling information will allow you to see how effective the scheme will be, i.e. in terms of speed and accident reduction. It should also map out the percentage of traffic that will seek to avoid the various obstacles and where they might go.
Consider emailing or writing to;
Write/ email your MP, Jeremy Hunt, or
your Surrey County Councillor, Matt Furniss, or
your ward councillors, Cllr Catherine Houston and Cllr Dominique Williams
